Two year pictures!

Meet my little girl, Camryn. For her two year pictures, I wanted to do something a bit shabby chique and a little bit country. Thanks to some family friends, we got to shoot at the most amazing location - I could have spent the entire day there taking pictures it was so beautiful! And Camryn did amazing. Taking pictures of your own kids is one of the hardest things to do. So, I'll share one of my best tips with you for taking pictures of your kids: bring along Grandma! I wanted those sweet smiles and precious little smirks to be captured forever and thanks to my mom, brother and sister, I was able to actually be the photographer and capture my little girl the way I see her.

Baby Ryann

Last week I got to take pictures for sweet baby Ryann and Laci. It was such a nice day out, we decided to do the pictures outside. The light from the sun at the end of the day gave a beautiful warm glow to the pictures for our "mommy and me" session. And I just love newborn sessions because I usually get a chance to hold the babies. I just love that itty bitty stage - it's so precious!

The Sheldons

I had the great pleasure of photographing the Sheldons downtown Grand Rapids. What a great looking family. The girls Sophia and Stella are so adorable - and mom and dad are quite photogenic themselves. They really liked the architecture and urban look, so we got a lot of fun shots in some great rustic spots downtown. Here are some of my favs!

Family Photos for Dad

This family thought it would be fun to do a photo shoot and give some pics to their dad on his birthday. What a great idea and what a great day it was! This was one of the first nice days of the year - I just love how the leaves are so neon early in the summer. Big groups are always fun - more smiles!

More cute kids!

While I was taking pics of big sister Bella for her first holy communion, I got in a few pics of her younger siblings while she was getting her hair done. Lilly was such a natural for the camera. She patiently waited for her turn and when I asked to do some pictures, she immediately jumped at the chance to pose. I love how she has that confident look in her eye at such a young age! What a sweetheart. And we can't forget little brother Beck. He was a little more silly for the camera, but we managed to sneak in a few cute shots of him too!
